Our program brings children, parents, and teachers into one family "familia"
Inspired by three instructional strategies: the Reggio method, second-language instruction, and emergent/thematic curricula, our curriculum emphasizes the introduction of Spanish as a second language through books, music and art. Through these methods, children are afforded opportunities to learn additional languages from having their brains primed to be multilingual, while also preparing them to achieve and contribute in a diverse global society.
The children have the opportunity to be the oldest, middle or youngest child. It gives them an opportunity to experience different roles within a family unit of multiple siblings.
In our home, family friendships are created and forged throughout the years spent at Frida’s Spanish School. We provide different opportunities for the families to come together and connect, both in the home environment and out in our community. We gather at home for the “Posada” holiday celebration, celebrating family unity and sharing our culture through food. We come together for our annual family picnic, meeting in one of our community parks to bond with our families.
Planned activities, outdoor learning, and strolls in our neighborhood.
